Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any questions which we aren’t answered here, please don’t hesitate to Contact Us.

How often does the workshop take place?

We run about five or six workshops each year. For the next available dates, please see the Home page. If you want to register your interest and be notified of future workshop dates, please Contact Us.

How long does the workshop last?

It lasts for five days, starting on a Monday morning and finishing on Friday evening. We get together for a welcome drink on the Sunday evening before the workshop stars, which will give you the opportunity to meet everybody in an informal setting.

When should I arrive in Deia?

We recommend that you arrive in Deia on the Sunday before the workshop starts (or earlier if you prefer), and leave on the Saturday or later.

How much does the workshop cost?

It costs £850 for the five-day workshop.

Is accommodation included?

No. Deia is a very small village and there aren’t any properties available with 15-20 bedrooms! However, the benefit of arranging separate accommodation is that you can choose where you want to stay and how much you want to spend. You may even like to stay longer than a week. There is a wide range of accommodation available in Deia, from simple, inexpensive guest houses to the world-class Hotel La Residencia - plus villas and apartments for those who prefer that option.

Are meals included?

Lunches are included but not evening meals. From Monday to Friday we normally eat out as a group each evening, trying a different one of Deia’s great restaurants each night. We split the bill so each person just pays for their own food and drink. Then we normally head to the local bar, Sa Fonda. Coming out with the group every evening isn’t necessary; it’s entirely up to you. You might like to read articles written about the restaurants in Deia written by Michael Winner, and Deia resident Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Can you help me with my travel arrangements?

Absolutely. We will be delighted to advise you and assist with all aspects of your travel arrangements. There are flights to Palma from over 25 UK airports, and there’s a wide choice of hotels, guest houses and villas in Deia to suit every budget. But if you would like assistance with your travel arrangements or just want advice, please don’t hesitate to Contact Us.

Will I need to hire a car?

Not unless you want to. Deia is just 30-35 minutes by taxi from Palma Airport, and the village is small so everywhere is within walking distance. If you decide to hire a car once you’re already in Deia, perhaps to explore more of the island, we can assist you with this. Deia is a coastal mountain village and is failry hilly. Please let us know if this will cause you difficulty.

Is there a discount for a couple taking part together?

If you and a companion book to take part together, you’ll each receive a 10% discount.

Can I come with a companion who won’t be taking part?

Definitely. Your spouse, partner or friend can enjoy everything Deia has to offer during the day, and is welcome to join us in the evening.
